The Beaver Valley & Blue Mountains
Grey Road 13 and 19)

Out of Flesherton, head east on Grey Road 4 then make a quick left on Grey Road 13. This is the route that descends you down into the Beaver Valley. In Eugenia, check out the falls, one of the stops on the Ride Grey Bruce Epic Road TourWaterfall tour. For another quick side trip that immediately takes you back up the Valley on a nice little twisting road, look for Grey Road 30. Head left past the Beaver Valley Ski Club and when at the top, turn around and come back to Grey Road 13.

Heading north again on Grey Road 13, things start to get really good. The road becomes super windy almost all the way to Thornbury. Head east on Provincial Highway 26 to Blue Mountain Road (Grey Road 19). Turn right and cruise past the new Village at Blue Mountain and maybe pop in and check out Indian Motorcycle. Follow Grey Road 19 back up the escarpment to Scenic Caves Nature Adventures and check out the view from their awesome new suspension bridge. Continue on Grey Road 19 all the way to Grey Road 2 and head south or left to Grey Road 31. Turn right and it takes you back to Grey Road 13 at the top of the Beaver Valley.

With stops and lookouts it's the perfect afternoon ride!

Walters Falls (Grey Road 40 and 18)

Known locally as the best way to head from Owen Sound to Collingwood, this route is free of traffic and has lots of open vistas across several valleys. From Owen Sound, simply take Grey Road 18 at the junction of Provincial Highway 6 & 10 east toward Bognor and Walters Falls. Make a quick jog on Grey Road 29 to Walters Falls. Stop in for a bite to eat at 'The Store' or gas up and make sure you ask for directions to the actual waterfalls.

Just east of town, turn left onto Grey Road 40. This takes you all the way to Provincial Highway 26. You now are headed into the Beaver Valley. You will make several loops by heading south on Grey Road 12 or Grey Road 7 or heading back north on Grey Road 13. Detour back through the communities of Meaford and Thornbury.

Owen Sound Scenic Route (Grey Road 15 & 1)

Cruise around Owen Sound, literally! From the east side of town take Grey Road 15 off Provincial Highway 26 to Leith and head south into Owen Sound past the 'Bayshore' to 10th St. East. Turn right, and then immediately right again as soon as you cross over the river (harbour). You are now on Grey Road 1. Or, you can continue straight down the main street to Harrison Park.

Simply follow this route all the way to Wiarton\, stopping at Big Bay for Ice Cream and Bruce's Caves to stretch your legs. Once in Wiarton after you take your picture at the Wiarton Willie statue, you can head back to Owen Sound on Grey Road 17 or continue on up the Peninsula.

Sauble Beach to Lions Head (Bruce Road 13 & 9)

The Daytona Beach of the North. Sauble Beach in itself is a destination where you can cruise the strip all day. Where else can you ride you bike on the beach for 4 miles? (Please note: small day use fee may apply). Bruce Road 13 takes you north from Highway 21 and winds its way along the many cottages that dot the shoreline. When you hit the only set of traffic lights, turn left toward the beach and get your picture taken under the Sauble Beach sign.

Follow the beach north until you wind your way back onto Bruce Road 13. Turn left and you are immediately at Sauble Falls, another good picture stop. Follow Bruce Road 13 all the way to Wiarton until you reach Highway 6. Turn left or north then make a quick right onto Bruce Road 9. This super fun twisting road takes you all the way to Lions Head the home of the Taylor Made B&B; Bruce County's first accommodator that caters almost exclusively to riders. Be sure to head down the harbour where you can park your bike right beside the little lighthouse for the perfect photo op! North of Lions Head, the road turn to gravel so popping out to Highway 6 is a must. Continue north on Highway 6 to Dyers Bay Road and follow the signs to Rocky Raccoon Restaurant, another must. You'll have to double back to 6 but its well worth it.

Continue on Highway 6 north to Tobermory or head south and do it all in reverse.

Lake Huron Shore (Miramichi Bay Road, Lake Range Road, Bruce Road 15 & 23)

Home to some of the best sunsets in the world, this shoreline is perfect for cruising. This route follows the coast all the way from Point Clark to Southampton. It is very similar to the first leg of the Lighthouse Tour.

Some highlights of this route definitely include the Miramichi Bay Road that links Port Elgin and Southampton. This slow paced, twisting road has spectacular views of the Lake. Be sure to hit Kincardine on a Saturday night in the summer for their Mass Pipe Band Parade. Put the steed on the kickstand and join in the festivities!
